How long does it take to learn how to swim?

We cannot promise that you or your child will learn how to swim in one term. We all have different abilities therefore everyone takes swimming lessons and practice in their own pace. Our school has one of the best swimming instructors who teach professionally in a swimmer-centred environment.

How much do I have to pay for kids swimming lessons?

Children swimming lessons cost €95 per child per term. Our classes run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays for children of different swimming levels. Please contact Eithne Duffin on 01 458 9634 or 087 222 3088 to find out what group would be best suitable for your child.

How many children are in each class?

The maximum number if children allowed in each class is 25. Each class is divided between 2 teachers. The majority of our classes contain between 15 and 25 children.

Can my child join swim classes during a term?

Yes, your child may join at any time. Your child’s fees will be adjusted accordingly depending upon when they joined during the term.

Is there a price reduction for families?

Yes, a 10% reduction applies for 3 children of the same family. For families of 4 children, the fourth child goes free.

How big is Cheeverstown Swimming Pool?

The pool measures 10m x 5m, and the depth ranges from 1m to 1.9m. There is also an smaller integrated Toddler Pool which is ideal for teaching young children how to swim as it has a depth of 0.5m.

How warm is the pool?

As Cheeverstown Pool is a hydrotherapy pool the average temperature of the water is maintained at 32c. This temperature is recommended for young children and babies.
